The K9 Sport Sack Urban 3 is a trendy and versatile dog backpack that offers optimal comfort for both the dog and its carrier. The Urban 3 dog backpack is suitable for smaller to medium-sized dogs up to 18 kg, but can also be used as a traditional backpack and is equipped with a handy laptop compartment. The dog backpack is made of sturdy fabric and has mesh ventilation panels on the sides, which can be closed with a zipper at low temperatures. Thanks to two adjustable lumbar support straps, adjustment straps on both sides and the adjustable collar, you can adjust the dog backpack exactly to the size of your dog. A flap on the inside prevents your dog’s hair from getting caught in the zipper. To prevent your dog from jumping out of the backpack, you can tether him to the carabiner on the inside of the backpack.
The dog backpack is equipped with double side pockets and a storage compartment under the dog's seat. Optimal wearing comfort is guaranteed by thickly padded ergonomic shoulder straps with a sternum strap. The padded back panel increases wearing comfort even further and also improves ventilation of your back. The hip belt ensures a balanced distribution of weight over shoulders and pelvis. If the Urban 3 is used as a traditional backpack, you can use the padded laptop compartment. Please note: the size of the laptop compartment depends on the size of the backpack, see below in the product features. The top can be closed at different heights by folding it over and hooking the G-hooks into the loops at the back. The loops can also be used to attach additional items.
All K9 Sport Sack dog backpacks have been specially developed in close collaboration with animal professionals, veterinarians, dog trainers and outdoor product engineers. The result is an ergonomic, safe and strong product, with optimal comfort for both owner and dog. The K9 Sport Sack Urban 3 is available in various sizes and colours. If your dog is in between sizes, has a wide body but is short in length, or is still growing, you can optionally order the Booster Block, which raises the sitting position with 7.5 cm. The Booster Block is available in two sizes: one for backpack sizes XS/S and one for backpack sizes M/L/XL/XXL.

Unfortunately, the backpack doesn't open wide enough for the dog to sit down properly so it can be put on as shown in the illustrated instructions. You have to lift the dog into the backpack by its rear end and then thread its legs through – not so easy with a puppy who's reluctant to cooperate. This could easily be solved with two additional zippers parallel to the bottom pocket. Then you could thread the legs through and then close the backpack around the dog.
We're sorry you're not completely satisfied. It seems your dog also needs some time to get used to it. We recommend introducing your dog to it gradually.

Excellent backpack!
I've tried many backpacks, but even other expensive brands can't compare to this one. My dog accepted all previous backpacks, but he never really relaxed because he had too much freedom of movement, which meant he "flies around" a lot in the backpack. He got used to it quickly; he was already familiar with backpacks, but he can still get a little wild sometimes when you pack him. With this backpack, you can see his completely relaxed face the first second; he just hangs in there and doesn't want to get out. The backpack is also very comfortable for the wearer; the hip belt keeps the weight off your shoulders. Long bike rides are also easy. Another thing I find extremely important is safety: the dog is safely stowed away and can't accidentally jump out or fall while cycling—even if a squirrel crosses the path, he's safely stowed away. Tight, but absolutely unbeatable!
The backpack is quite tight, but the dog feels comfortable and is securely fastened. She gets into the backpack easily and with natural movements (just sit, lie down, no lifting, etc.).

The size description doesn't fit at all...
The size description doesn't fit at all! It's better to go by race rather than cm.
We've done our best to make the sizing information on our website as accurate as possible. From your other answer, it appears that your dog has a back length of 43 cm. This is right on the borderline of S and the beginning of M. Therefore, we understand that it's difficult to estimate the required size. We recommend choosing the larger size in the future. You can always order a booster block to make your dog more comfortable. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact customer service.
Great product
Great product. Despite the correct size, the size was too small for my Fox Terrier mix. His paws fell asleep in the M size. We now have the Knavigate in the L size, and I no longer hear any cries of pain on my back.

Nice backpack unfortunately too small
Nice backpack. Great quality of workmanship. Unfortunately, the information about the back length and size is very limited. I don't know how I would have squeezed my dog into it...

Far too expensive and the system is cumbersome
Far too expensive and the system is extremely complicated. The backpack costs €40 on other sites. The K9 has their own logo on it and they added €100 on top. It's not easy to see because of their own good pictures. When it was in front of me, I recognized it. I find that really outrageous.
Too bad it didn't work for you. Hopefully you can buy a cheaper and simpler system elsewhere. I see you returned the backpack and we duly refunded you.
The backpack was suitable for…
The backpack was labeled as being suitable for dogs up to 20kg. Our dog weighs 13kg and didn't fit in it. Otherwise, well made.
We adjusted the dimensions ourselves because we received many backpacks that were too small. For this reason, we adjusted the dimensions slightly. I see that you returned the products and we refunded your money.

The straps are too close together
The straps are too close together. This is because the backpack gets narrower at the top. It cuts into the neck a bit. It's a shame that you can't buy a small backpack to attach to it. For me, a pole holder would be great.
