This universal dog guard from Saunders is suitable for your BMW 5 Series Touring (E39). With a dog guard (also called a cargo separator) you can safely transport your pet, but it also protects the driver and passengers from the dangers of unsecured cargo in the boot space. In some EU countries (like Germany, Italy and Spain) it is mandatory to transport your dog at a leash or behind a dog guard. precisely fitting, stable
Poor workmanship for the price, but still satisfactory result
Aside from the poor workmanship, which requires reworking the threads and causes complications during assembly, the product is good once it fits in the car. You can adjust the size correctly (with patience, as the grille has to be removed and unscrewed for each adjustment), and it stays in place. This ultimately makes it better than many other, cheaper products. But perhaps there's a way to achieve a bit more customer-friendliness for the rather high price.

The grid is great for the row with 3 seats, I only have 2 seats, so there is a piece of grid missing for the middle seat, so the dog can climb forward, so either add it or choose a larger dog.
